This year has started with an expansion of the Zanders family; we have increased our expertise globally by hiring five expert new colleagues with over 100 years combined relevant working experience. We are proud to welcome these colleagues, who will be located in the US, the UK, South Africa and The Netherlands. Please let us introduce the team to you…
Texan Martin joins the corporate advisory practice of the Zanders US office. He has been working in corporate finance and treasury for ten years, with an additional three years in banking, focusing on banking fraud and compliance. In the treasury practice, he became an expert in treasury technology and advised in several TMS implementations.
Martin: “During the past 7 years, I have worked in the treasury advisory space for two Big 4 companies and I will look to bring my treasury technology and consulting experience to assist Zanders in expanding their business in the U.S. market. Here I will be focused on delivering implementations of multiple SaaS TMS solutions, and on business development to assist in growing the team in the U.S.”
For the past 34 years, Mark has been a career banker with a primary focus on the cash management space. Among other things, he was an elected UK payments expert on the ISO 20022 payment SEG too. And now, having been based in Singapore, Mark is back to join the Zanders UK team. He explains why:
“Through my previous roles at both HSBC and Citi, I have worked with a Zanders team on mutual client transformational projects. I have seen Zanders grow into a significant niche player in the broader treasury space. With its vision and recognizing the broader industry acceleration around achieving a digital first strategy, this is the right time to be joining this forward-thinking organization.”
David previously worked in the London office of Zanders, but moved back home to South Africa for family reasons. Now, 7 years later, he has returned to Zanders to help clients navigate and make the most of opportunities within the fast-evolving digital world of corporate treasury and banking. This time, he will be based in South Africa.
David: “I am excited to be back in the Zanders fold, within the collaborative, professional and entrepreneurial culture that I enjoyed before. The objectives of my role are above to all deliver leading global consultancy services to clients around treasury, payments modernization, their use of SWIFT, and architectural transformation initiatives.”
Greg joins the corporate advisory practice at Zanders and will be located in South Africa. In the past five years, he worked in the IT advisory practice of a big 4 company, following the acquisition of a specialist treasury technology boutique. Greg has a well-established reputation with SAP in TRM and the central bank space. He is known for an innovative problem-solving approach, leveraging experience across banking and corporate perspectives.
Greg: “I chose Zanders for their treasury specialization with strong and consistent reputation. I have a similar role to the ones before in terms of SAP TRM focus, but for now more focused on delivering myself than managing teams.”
Lex van Dijk
Lex van Dijk joins our Dutch office with over 30 years of working experience gained in the banking industry. He is bringing that wealth of experience to our public sector team. Lex had several roles in the banking industry, all with a focus on lending.
Lex: “As a corporate finance expert, I will be a member of the Public Sector advisory team where I will work on the assignments at hand. Thanks to my banking industry roles, I bring a lot of financing experience and knowledge.”
